I finally went to the beach at Perissa for a couple of hours and laid out in the sun. I had to get a mat since this was a black sand beach and the sand was hot. Hotter then what we have in the states. I waded in the water for a little while which was cool on my hot feet. After staying down by the beach for a bit, Renata and I headed back to the hostel and decided to fix some lunch before we headed down the one road with all the shops. Headed down to the shops and did some browsing but I didn’t buy anything. Got lost trying to get back to the hostel but where is the fun and adventure if you don’t get lost at least once when you are in another country.

Renata decided to hike up the mountain which is supposed to be the biggest in Santorini and I decided to find my way back to the hostel. Somehow, Renata ended up on the wrong trail and ended up back at the hostel before me. Did some reading for a few hours while Renata headed back out to try and climb the mountain. About 8:00 pm, I headed outside and talked to some of the people from the hostel. Then, Kate, Renata, myself and a couple other people headed out about 10:30 in search of gyros but the place we found for them was closed. We ended up going to a bakery that was still open and got some baklava which is very sweet. I ended up only eating a little of it because it was so sweet. Headed back to the hostel and fell asleep about midnight.
