Bound for the Islands

I got up at 4:30 am to walk to the bus station to catch the bus to Rafina port. I made it to the station by 5:15 and the bus left at 5:30 instead of 5:45 when I was told it would leave. I guess it is a good thing Renata and I arrived early. We made it to the port by 7:00 and the ferry left at 8:00. I went ahead and boarded the ferry and tried to get some sleep since we wouldn’t be arriving in Mykonos until 12:30. Finally arrived in Mykonos and had to go to the Blue Star Ferry office to get the boarding pass for Paros tomorrow. I had decided to stay in Mykonos one night since it is pretty expensive to stay here. It is costing me 7,125 greek drachma to stay at the Hotel Elena which is a pretty nice hotel. It is a white washed hotel with blue shutters. Stayed in the hotel room for a little while watching, can you believe it, MTV, that was in english.

Then I headed down to the town and bought a chicken gyro (chicken wrapped up in a pita type bread) for 500 drachma. Bought a couple of souvenirs for Joey and Seann. Then headed out of town and somehow Renata and I got lost but we managed to find our way back to the hotel an hour or so later. While we were trying to find our way back to the hotel, some guy in a red car touched my butt as he was going by (can you believe that?). I sat on the veranda for awhile and then went back inside the room since it was starting to get cold outside. Renata was flipping through the channels on the tv and found an episode of ‘Charmed’ on which they had greek subtitles. I was excited to be watching one of my favorite shows. Afterwards, I watched ‘Scream’ before heading to sleep.
