Celebrating my 33rd birthday in Lucerne. It’s a bit weird to be celebrating it in another country and not with my family and friends. Decided to buy a couple of thijngs for my birthday with $100 that my Uncle had given me. Bought a watch on a silver chain and a swiss army knife. Had a swiss army knife back home that my brother in law had taken from me at the airport when I left for my trip thinking it would set off the x-ray machines. Could have used it during this trip.

Found the Kapellbrucke bridge with the water tower but I couldn’t find the lion monument. Still have part of tomorrow to find it before I catch the bus at 4:30 to head into Interlaken.

Headed back to the room and read for a bit before Carrie, Jo and Sondra came back. Headed out with them for dinner. I had cottage pie which is meat and mashed potatoes on top. Reminded me of shepherd’s pie. Ordered a snake bite which is half beer and half cider with a little raspberry syrup on top. It wasn’t bad. Different from what I am used to drinking. Then we walked over to the Kapellbrucke bridge before heading back to the room. Had a really nice birthday in Lucerne.
