St. Patrick’s Day in Maui

Flowers Blooming in Kihei
Flowers Blooming in Kihei

I can’t believe I am in Maui. I never thought I would go to Hawaii. It was never on my list of places to see but here I am. Got in about 12 noon and waited a few minutes for Kressa to pick me up. Then headed to Kihei where she lives to grab something to eat before heading to her house. Took lunch back to Kressa’s and chilled out for a bit before heading to the beach. I never thought the ocean could feel like bath water. Well, when I first put my feet in the water it was cold but after that, nothing. I could get all the way in without hesitation because that is how it felt …. Bath water. After being in the water for a little bit and snorkeling, I got out and laid out on the beach for a bit. Then we headed back to Kressa’s to start getting ready for dinner. We drove into Lahaina and eating dinner at Bubba Gump’s. I ordered the shrimp po’boy which was good but not as good as the one I had in San Francisco. Two of Kressa’s friends met us for dinner. Jason and Sarah. They are both super nice and made me feel like part of the group. Lahaina is definitely touristy so of course I want to go back there and look in all the shops. And it is right by the water which I loved. When we had dinner, we were able to sit outside on the deck right by the water. I can see why Kressa loves living here. After dinner, we headed back to Kressa’s and I went to sleep since Maui is three hours behind California so for me it was feeling like 2 in the morning when I was now on Maui time so it was really 11 pm.

I thought I would add how many miles I ended up walking each day since I ended up doing the walks as a challenge; trying to work my way up to more miles by the end of the week. Tomorrow will be the start of this challenge I set for myself.
