Stratford-Upon-Avon

Got up early since I am taking the National Express bus to Stratford-Upon-Avon. The bus leaves the station at 8:30. Arrived in Stratford-Upon-Avon at 11:30. Called up the Linhill Guest House since I will be staying there for a couple of nights. I was going to walk to the house but Diana (the owner) said she would pick me up at the bus station. I thought that was really nice of her since I wasn’t sure how long of a walk it would be to get to the bed and breakfast. Diana picked me up and we drove through the village to get to the guest house. I reserved a single room where the bathroom is down the hallway. Got settled in the room and then walked down to the city center.

I wanted to find out where the Royal Shakespeare Theatre was located since I am going to see ‘Hamlet’ tomorrow night. Wanted to see how far it would be to get back to the Stratford Leisure and Visitor’s Center where the bus will pick me up on Thursday. Everything is really close together and not too far from Linhill.

I purchased a ticket for the sightseeing bus tour so I could walk through five of Shakespeare’s properties which I will be doing tomorrow. Oh and I did decide to walk through Shakespeare’s birthplace since it was right in town.

Found a movie theatre so I went to see ‘The Mummy Returns’. They had filmed part of the movie in London. Nice to see the Tower Bridge as one of the sights they used and to be able to say I had walked on that very same bridge.
